Bethune-Cookman controlled the 2015 Florida Classic from start to finish, powering past Florida A&M 35–14 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl behind a dominant outing from quarterback Quentin Williams.
Williams delivered one of the most efficient performances in Classic history, earning MVP honors after completing 15 of 18 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns while adding 75 rushing yards and another score. His precision and poise led a Wildcats offense that consistently answered every FAMU push.
Bethune-Cookman opened the afternoon with a 13-yard touchdown run from Williams, then extended the lead late in the first quarter when Jawill Davis hauled in a 21-yard scoring pass to make it 14–0.
Florida A&M briefly swung momentum in the second quarter. Quarterback Kenneth Coleman found Montavius Williams for a 6-yard touchdown, trimming the deficit to 14–7. But the Wildcats responded immediately as Williams connected with Jaime Wilson on a 13-yard touchdown strike, pushing the lead back to 21–7.
The Rattlers struck once more before halftime when Devin Bowers broke free for a 7-yard touchdown run, sending the game into the locker room with B-CU leading 21–14.
From that point on, the Wildcats took full control.
Bethune-Cookman’s physical ground attack—powered by Anthony Jordan’s 108 yards and a touchdown—wore down the Rattlers throughout the second half. Williams added a 5-yard rushing score in the third quarter, and he later found Wilson again for a 10-yard touchdown in the fourth, sealing the victory.
The Wildcats outgained FAMU 442–300, leaning on a 193-yard rushing performance and a nearly mistake-free day through the air. Davis led the receiving corps with 115 yards and a touchdown on six catches.
Bowers paced the Rattlers with 117 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, while Montavius Williams added 57 receiving yards and a score, but turnovers proved costly as FAMU threw three interceptions.
Bethune-Cookman’s balanced offense and relentless tempo powered the Wildcats to another convincing Classic win, with Williams’ MVP showcase standing out as one of the marquee performances of the modern rivalry.
