Florida A&M unleashed one of the most overwhelming offensive performances in Florida Classic history, piling up 63 points and dominating Bethune-Cookman in a 63–14 rout at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
The Rattlers scored touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams and built a 35–0 halftime lead before continuing to pour it on in the second half. Quarterback JeJuan Seider and wide receiver Cainon Lamb put on a clinic, connecting eight times for 183 yards and three touchdowns as the Rattlers crossed the 500-yard mark in total offense.
FAMU set the tone immediately. Seider found Lamb for a 12-yard touchdown on the game’s opening drive, and a defensive strike followed when Wendell Ashley scooped up a fumble and raced 43 yards for a touchdown. Moments later, Lamb hauled in his second touchdown of the day from 2 yards out, giving FAMU a commanding 21–0 lead after one quarter.
The Rattlers extended the lead in the second quarter with back-to-back 4-yard touchdown runs by Kenny Williams and JaJuan Seider, sending FAMU into the break up 35–0.
Bethune-Cookman broke the shutout in the third quarter when Pa’Tell Troutman scored on a 5-yard run, but the Rattlers answered with another Seider rushing touchdown and a highlight-reel 65-yard scoring strike from Seider to Lamb — Lamb’s third touchdown reception of the game.
FAMU added one more score in the fourth quarter when backup quarterback Suber found Marco Junious for a 38-yard touchdown to close out the rout.
Seider completed 13 of 25 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns while also adding two rushing scores. Williams anchored the ground game with 81 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Despite the lopsided score, Troutman produced a strong individual effort for Bethune-Cookman, rushing for 153 yards and adding a late touchdown pass to Erik Lash. But two Wildcats turnovers and struggles in the passing game prevented B-CU from keeping pace.
Florida A&M’s explosive offense and opportunistic defense delivered a decisive statement as the Rattlers closed the decade with one of their most dominant Florida Classic victories.
